Convened by senior editor and founding director of the Institute for the Cooperative Digital Economy Trebor Scholz, the “Platform Co-Ops” seminar investigates cooperative ownership and governance in the digital economy. The cooperative digital economy is an under-researched area in the fields of anthropology, political science, sociology, history, and economics. The articles in this seminar range from imaginative proposals, relevant research, and provocations, to practice-oriented commentary.
R. Trebor Scholz is the Founding Director of the Platform Cooperativism Consortium at The New School in NYC. He is a community-engaged scholar and fellow at Open Society Foundations, the USC Berggruen Institute, and the Berkman Klein Center at Harvard University.
